(Race #1 March, 16 / 100 Laps)
Qualified, 5th. 18:293 from a field of 32 cars. Brandon won the 6 car, 6 lap trophy dash. Brandon was in the lead with two laps to go with a green,white, checkered finish when the car in second place got together with Brandon coming off of turn two Brandon spun, with no yellow coming out, Brandon was the last car on the lead lap and finished 14th. This was the first race with our new 2002 Chevrolet, Monte Carlo. Brandon has a new crew chief for this season. Brandon and the blue crew did a great job with the new car, as we had a few new car blues with the car in practice. The car is good now and Brandon is looking forward to having a good finish in his next race.
(Race #2 April, 6 / 75 lap)
Qualified, 9th. 18:357 from a field of 28 cars. Brandon moved up to 7th on the first lap with 6th.& 5th. place cars battling for position Brandon was having a very hard time trying to pass them, as the ASA cars qualified just before our race, they use a different tire and there tire rubber made the low line very slippery, it took Brandon 37 laps to pass the 5th.& 6th. place cars that put Brandon in 4th. with the only yellow coming out on lap 55 Brandon had 9 cars between him and 3rd by the time Brandon passed the 9 cars and was catching 3rd. place Brandon lost his brakes with about 5 laps to go but had a huge lead on 5th. Brandon was able to hang on to 4th. That moved Brandon up to be tied for 4th.place in the championship points.
(Race #3 April, 13 / 75 laps, first TV race) (Air date 5-2-02)
Qualified, 5th, 18:426 from a field of 30 cars. Brandon won the 6 car, 6 lap trophy dash. The track was very slow all day as there was a lot of oil dumped on the track from earlier practices from some other classes. The car was a little tight in the main Brandon had a 6th place finish not as good as he was hopping for but that moved Brandon up to 3rd.place in the championship points.
(Race #4 April, 27) 75 laps
Qualified, 16th, 18:508 from a field of 30 cars. Brandon was fighting a chassis problem all day and could not get the car the way he wanted it for the main, Brandon did move up to 11th but that dropped Brandon to 4th in the Championship points.
Brandon is now completly re:doing the chassis set-up for the next race.
(Race #5 May, 4) 75 laps
Qualified, 18th, 18:736 from a field of 29 cars. Brandon tried a new set-up in the car but that did not work out as good as Brandon would have liked, Brandon finished 7th.
(Race #6 May, 18) 75 laps
Qualified, 13th, 18:675 from a field of 28 cars. Brandon has been having problem with his set-up for several races now and today was no exception, so after qualifing the crew decited to through this race away and make some really big changes to see if it would help, Brandon started the race with no idea what the car was going to do, Brandon had a very good run with a third place finish. Brandon remains in 3rd. place in the championship points.
(Race #7 May, 25) 75 laps
Qualified, 9th, 18:361 from a field of 25 cars. Brandon worked his way through traffic to finish 3rd. That moved Brandon up 2nd in the championship points.
(Race #8 June, 8) 75 laps
Qualified, 13th, 18:733 from a field of 21 cars this was the same day as the Southwest Tour cars raced with the SWT cars using a different tire it made the track very slippery, Brandon though the car would come to him during the race but the car stayed loose the whole race Brandon finished 7th that moved Brandon back to 3rd in the championship points.

Brandon changed his schedule for this weekend and will be racing at Mesa Marin Raceway in Bakersfield Ca. results to follow. Brandon Qualified, 6th 19:032 this is the first time we raced at Mesa Marin this season, Brandon had a great race with a great 2nd place finish
(Race #9 & 10 June, 29) Twin 50's
Qualified, 3rd & 1st this was twin 50 lap races and two seperate qualifying laps for each points race, for the first main Brandon qualified 3rd. 18:320 and for the second main Brandon qualified 1st. 18:297 the invert was two for the 1st.main and nine for the 2nd. main. Brandon won the 6 car 6 lap trophy dash Brandon's 3rd. dash wins in as many starts. Brandon started 3rd. in the first main an had a good finish in 2nd.
Brandon started 9th in the 2nd. main and had a super finish in 2nd. place this moved Brandon up to second place in the championship points, only 8 points out of first going into the next race, July 6
(Race #11 July, 6) 75 Laps
Qualified, 1st, 18:221 from a field of 24 cars. Brandon finished 4th in the 6 car 6 lap trophy dash. Brandon started 3rd in the 75 lap main, Brandon was in the lead by the start of lap 2, on about lap 7 Brandon began to slow an lost the lead Brandon thought he had a right front tire going down, Brandon fell to 13th and a lap down before a yellow came out on lap 53 when Brandon came into the pitts the right front tire was badly blistered Brandon went back out only to be another lap down, Brandon finished 18th 2 laps down. That put brandon back to 3 in the championship points. 32 points out of the lead. There is a photo of the tire on our photo's page 2002 page.
(Race #12 July, 20) 75 Laps
Qualified, 6th 18:459 from a field of 23 cars. Brandon won the 6 car 6 lap trophy dash, this is Brandon's 4th win out of 5 trophy dash starts. Brandon finished 6th in the 75 lap main event. Brandon was in 2nd for 5 laps then was passed and droped to 3rd the car got lose Brandon was able to hold onto 3rd on lap 55 Brandon's car was getting really lose and fell to 6th. Brandon losed 2 pointe to the points leader and is now 34 points out, Brandon gainded on the second place points car and is now only 2 points out of 2nd.
(Race #13 August, 3) 75 Laps
Qualified, 10th 18:490 from a field of 31 cars. Brandon had motor problems in the first practice sessions, Brandon had to go back to the race shop and get our back-up car Brandon got back to the track just in time to make 3 practice laps and then go qualify. The race had 2 red flags and 3 yellow flags the race was shorten to 60 laps and ended with a green,white and checkered Brandon had some handling problems with the back up car and had to go to the pitts for some chassis adjustments with only a few laps to go because they counted all yellow flag laps Brandon had a 11th place finish Brandon stayed in 3 place in the championship points but did close up the points to only 28 points out of first place.
(Race #14 & 15 August, 17) Twin 50's
Qualified, Finished 3rd in the first 50, finished 11 in the 2nd 50
(Race #16 August, 24) 75 Laps
Qualified, 2nd from a field of 16 cars 18:287 Brandon was 2nd in the 6 car trophy dash. Brandon was running in 2nd place with 9 laps to go befor the oil pump broke and took him out Brandon finished 13th but remaines 2nd in the championship points with 3 point races to go.
(Race #17 September, 7) 75 Laps
Qualified, 2nd 18:314 from a field of 20 cars. Brandon had a very good day with a clean sweep Brandon won the 6 car 6 lap trophy dash, the locks up the most wins for the season. The invert was 6 for the start of the main so Brandon started 3rd row inside, by the 9th lap Brandon had the lead and was driving away when the checkered came out Brandon won by a straight away lead.
(Race #18 September, 14) 75 Laps
Qualified, 8th 18:565 from a field of 25 cars. Brandon had a good day the car was a little lose in the main but Brandon had a great 2nd place finish, that locked up 2nd in the championship points race and moved Brandon up to 2nd in the Miller Light Big 10 series, Brandon has one more points race to go this season. Brandon will finish 2nd in the points he can not move up or down in the championship points race, Brandon is a little disapointed that he did not win the championship due to a few problems through out the season out of his control.
Brandon does not know at this time what he will do next year, Brandon would like to move up to Hooter's Cup or Southwest Tour something of that nature but need sponsorship that he does not have at this time.

This race got rained out and is rescheduled for Oct.5,2002
October 5,2002, Race 19
Qualiffied, 6th from a field of 18 cars. Brandon started 6th and in 4 laps moved up to 3rd on lap the oil pump broke in the motor and put Brandon out for the night.
Brandon ended up 2nd in the championship points and 3rd in the Miller Lite Big 10 Challenge Series and 10 in the Valoline National Cup Series.
